Workflow automation · Nigeria and the United Kingdom

Automation for the work that actually runs your business.

We find the repetitive work that is slowing your team, map how it really moves through the business, and automate the parts that should not need a person every time. You keep the decisions that matter.

Whether your business is in Nigeria or the United Kingdom, Anvil can assess your workflows, automate the right parts and support you once they are running.

Workflow Automation Assessment

Understand the work before changing the system.

Before we recommend any software, AI or automation, we look at how your work is actually being done. Not how the process document says it is done. How it happens on a busy Tuesday.

The Workflow Automation Assessment is a deliverable in its own right. You keep the findings whether or not Anvil builds anything afterwards.

Commissioning an assessment does not commit you to anything further. What you do with the findings is your decision.

The assessment shows you

The cost nobody records

Where is your team's time actually going?

The work that never shows up on your accounts is still costing you.

You may recognise this. The same client details are typed into a spreadsheet, then an invoice, then a message. A decision is made on a call and stays in one person's head. Invoices go out late because somebody has to remember to send them. Follow-ups only happen when somebody notices they were missed.

None of this appears as a line on your accounts. It shows up as repeated admin, slow handovers, delayed decisions, avoidable mistakes, and managers who cannot step away for a week without something slipping.

Your problem is rarely a lack of software. More often, it is the lack of an honest map of how your work really flows. That is what the assessment gives you.

How we work

What happens when you work with Anvil?

We assess your work before we build anything, and we stay accountable for what we deliver. We start with the people on your team who actually do the work, and map how it really flows rather than how it is supposed to flow.

What we automate

What should you automate first?

These are examples, not a fixed menu. The assessment shows you what is worth changing, in what order, and where someone on your team still needs to make the call.

What stays human

What should stay in human hands?

Every assessment tells you what not to automate.

Alongside everything we recommend automating, we write down the tasks in your business that should stay with your people, and the reason for each one.

Judgement calls, relationships, exceptions, and anything where a confident wrong answer would cost more than a careful pause, stay with people.

We treat that list as the headline of the report, not a footnote.

Trust, control and traceability

How do you stay in control?

Through one discipline, drawn from a background in security and digital forensics: understand what a system can do, limit what it can change, keep evidence of the actions that matter, and keep your people responsible for consequential decisions.

You get a written record of what we build, what it can access, where your approval is still required, and who is responsible for what.

Abdullahi Gara, Founder

There is a question most automation projects never ask: what should stay human?

At Anvil, that question comes first. We automate the floor, the repetitive, error-prone, time-consuming work that quietly drains a business, so that the ceiling of human judgement, relationships and creativity can rise. Deciding what not to automate is not an afterthought. It is a headline deliverable.

I want Anvil to be the partner that Nigerian and British SMEs trust when they are serious about AI but tired of promises. That means we do not quote invented statistics or sell benchmarks we cannot stand behind. It means we build systems that are secure by design, because a business that automates carelessly simply creates faster ways to fail. And it means everything we deliver is built to be repeatable, and to keep producing value long after we have left the room.

Our ambition is to show that businesses across Africa and the UK can adopt AI with the same rigour a forensic investigator brings to evidence: carefully, verifiably, and with the people at the centre. We are not here to replace your team. We are here to give them their best hours back.

About the founder

Abdullahi founded Anvil Analytics on a plain observation. Most small and medium-sized businesses do not fail for lack of ambition. They stall because their people spend their best hours on work a well-designed system should be doing, and because the tools that promise to fix this are sold on hype rather than evidence.

His path to that conclusion runs through cybersecurity and digital forensics, not marketing. As a lecturer in cybersecurity and digital forensics at De Montfort University's School of Computer Science and Informatics in Leicester, he teaches how systems break, how evidence is gathered, and why a claim is only as good as the proof behind it. His PhD research applies artificial intelligence to forensic investigation. That work sharpened a conviction that now runs through everything Anvil builds: AI should be verifiable, governed and accountable, never a black box that people are asked to trust on faith.

That forensic discipline shapes how Anvil works. Before anything is automated, it is examined. Every engagement begins with structured discovery, including interviews with the people who actually do the work, verification of what is found, and a clear account of where time and money are being lost. Only then is a solution designed. Business rules and scores are calculated by deterministic logic, with AI confined to the tasks it genuinely does well, so every output can be checked and every figure traced back to its source.

Abdullahi builds for two markets he knows closely. He is based in the United Kingdom and has deep roots in Nigeria, particularly the North. What works for a London firm does not automatically translate to a business in Abuja or Kano. Pricing, payment structures, trust and decision-making all work differently, and Anvil's approach is built around those realities rather than borrowed from a Western playbook.
